2025/2026 Green Team

The SACJS Green Team is a group of twelve pupils elected by their classmates to improve climate awareness and promote positive environmental action. This year, the Green Team is working toward the Water Green Flag, after receiving the Litter & Waste Flag in 2025.

The Green Team Leaders are divided into three committees.

The Water Committee is led by Brody and Hugh. Their goal is to teach SACJS staff, students, and parents about how to take care of our planet’s water. They keep track of our school’s water usage and lead campaigns to limit the water used by all members of the school community.

The Litter & Waste Committee is led by Zoe, Finn, Felix, and Clara. The goal of the committee is to maintain our Litter and Waste Green Flag. They oversee initiatives such as the WEE Ireland Battery Recyling contest, the Homemade Halloween Costume Contest, the Recycled Ornament Challenge, the Picker Pals Program, and much more. They educate our community about the importance of composting and recycling and remind students to use the correct bin.

The Garden Committee is led by Robbie, Nora, Jayden, and Charlotte. Their goal is to revive and maintain the Junior Garden. This space allows students to connect to the environment in a personal and hands-on way. Teachers can do lessons there with their classes and pupils can plant vegetables and take care of them as they grow. The committee leads projects related to composting and biodiversity.

All SACJS pupils are encouraged to talk to their class’s Green Team Leader if they have any ideas about making St Andrew’s College a greener place.
