Hugh studied percussion at the D.I.T. Conservatory of Music, and went on to complete a teaching diploma in orchestral percussion and drum kit with the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. For the last 30 years he has been performing as a freelance percussionist and drummer throughout Ireland. He has also toured the U.S, Asia, and most European countries with various different groups. Hugh also teaches in Churchtown School of Music and Waltons School of Music.
