ST ANDREW'S COLLEGE DUBLIN watermark

Hello, my name is Dee Collis, and I’ve been part of St Andrew’s College Junior School since 2018. This year, I am delighted to be moving into a new role in Support for Learning, where I will be working closely with children who may need a little extra support in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and building confidence in their learning.

My academic background includes a degree in Psychology from Dublin Business School and a Master’s in Child Psychology from Kingston University, London. I later completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Education with Hibernia College and, most recently, a Master’s in Leadership in Education at DCU. I am also trained in Special Needs Assisting, Lámh, and literacy intervention, and I serve as a Droichead mentor to newly qualified teachers.

I believe that every child’s learning journey is unique, and my role is to help ensure they feel supported, capable, and confident. Support for Learning is not only about academic progress, but also about nurturing independence, resilience, and a positive sense of self. Working in partnership with class teachers and families is central to this, as it creates the consistency children need to flourish.

I’m really looking forward to this new chapter and the opportunity to help each child discover their strengths and reach their full potential. I’m excited for a year of growth, collaboration, and inspiring learning in Support for Learning.
