English Talks is an annually-organised series of short talks that takes place in a different country each year.  The theme this year is Consciousness and Sixth Year student Bikem Pastine is travelling to the event in London this weekend where, on Saturday 1 September, she will discuss whether writing makes people more conscious, and if being conscious makes people better writers.
