Success for our Students over Easter

Our students were up to great things on the seas over the Easter holidays.

The following sailors took part in the Irish Sailing Youth Performance Trials for the official Irish Youth Teams in Cork:

Seth Walker P5 Thirty-Fifth in the Optimist Class and will represent Team Ireland at the UK Nationals
Peter Williams 1st Yr Eleventh in the Optimist Class to qualify for the Europeans in France
Fiachra McDonnell 1st Yr Sixth  in the Optimist Class to qualify for the Europeans in France
Sam Ledoux 2nd Yr Third in the Optimist Class to qualify for the Optimist Worlds in Antigua
Rachel Flood 2nd Yr Thirty-sixth in the Optimist Class to be selected for an Irish development team traveling to France
Eve McMahon 3rd Yr First in the Ladies' Radial Laser class to qualify for the Youth World Competition in Poland

This is a particularly huge achievement for Sam and Eve as they will be representing Ireland at the World Championships in their respective sailing classes.

Fiachra McDonnell

In addition to the trials, Fiachra McDonnell raced in the Howth Yacht Club 'Brassed Off' cup, crossing the line in a very respectable third place.
